2015 Ford F-150 Serpentine Belt Routing by Engine

Find the factory drive-belt routing diagram for the 2.7L EcoBoost, both 3.5L V6 engines and the 5.0L V8.

Which drive belt diagram fits your 2015 Ford F-150?

The 2015 Ford F-150 was available with four engines, but Ford provides three original drivebelt routing drawings in the 2015 owner's manual. The two 3.5L V6 engines share one drawing. These diagrams are specifically labelled for engines equipped with air conditioning.

See the original belt routing drawings

Open Ford's 2015 F-150 owner's manual at the drivebelt routing page (printed page 358). Look for the heading Drivebelt Routing and select the drawing that corresponds to your engine. The PDF viewer may show page 361 because it counts front-matter pages as well.

Before relying on a drawing, confirm the engine and compare your truck's actual pulleys, air-conditioning equipment and belt arrangement. If your configuration does not match the diagram, do not guess a route. Consult the manual supplied with your vehicle or model-specific Ford service instructions.

What to check when the serpentine belt squeals or comes off

  • Look for fraying, glazing, oil contamination or missing ribs with the engine fully off.
  • Have the belt tensioner, idler pulleys and accessory bearings checked if the belt repeatedly squeals or walks off its pulleys.
  • Confirm the correct replacement belt by engine and vehicle details; belt length and routing can differ.
  • A battery charging warning, overheating or loss of an accessory may occur if a drive belt fails. Stop safely and arrange inspection rather than continuing to drive.

Common owner questions

Do the 3.5L EcoBoost and 3.5L Ti-VCT use the same diagram?

Ford groups them under the single “3.5L V6 Engines with A/C” routing drawing in the cited 2015 owner's manual. Check the physical belt arrangement before doing any work.

Can I use a 2017 or 2025 F-150 belt diagram?

Do not assume another model year's diagram applies. Engine accessories and pulley arrangements can change. Use the 2015 diagram that matches your truck.

Does the owner manual give a full belt replacement procedure?

The diagram is for identifying the belt route, not a complete repair procedure. For tensioner release, inspection and replacement instructions, refer to Ford service information or a qualified technician.

What to know

The 3.5L V6 drawing applies to both the naturally aspirated Ti-VCT and 3.5L EcoBoost engine families listed in that manual.

What I'd check next

Verify the installed engine and accessory arrangement before service; the factory illustration takes precedence.

DON'S OWNER NOTES

I own a Blue Flame Metallic 2015 Ford F-150 XLT and plan to add firsthand observations, photos and maintenance notes to these guides. I won't present an untested repair as something I've personally done.
